Challenge and Change

The foundation and basic principles you put in place to succeed in the bodybuilding lifestyle have to revolve around change. Each day your efforts must be forward-directed in order to ensure that a measurable gain will occur. Consistency in your approach, an unparalleled dedication to the craft and an unrelenting pursuit of change through challenge and change to what ultimately sets you apart from the rest. There are no easy routes, there can be no stone left unturned and through your vigilance and patience, you will succeed.

You will never be satisfied. You will always want more and you will always try to do more. The challenges you face every day will always be there. It’s the challenges that you create for yourself that will make all of the difference. This will never be an easy lifestyle to maintain and even if you aren’t giving it your all, it’s still going to be tough. You have to prioritize pain, you have to want pressure, you have to force change to occur if you want your goals to come to fruition. The challenge and change, both physical and mental, will haunt you as you pursue this dream. How will you handle it? What can you do? What will you do?

Lifting weights, sticking to your diet, doing all of your cardio and taking advantage of your genetics will never be enough. You’ve already been doing all of this and you still find yourself unsatisfied. So what challenge and change have you yet to realize or what challenges are you unaware of? Have you truly tested your limitations when it comes to intensity and aggression in the gym? Have you force-fed yourself to the point where you can no longer consume any more food? Have you walked the fine line of sane and insane when it comes to the weights you use during your training? Are you willing to suffer even more to etch out that last little bit of detail? If at the end of the day you feel like perhaps you have left something on the table, then there’s your challenge.

We all want to believe that what we are doing will be conducive to achieving the goals we have set forth for ourselves. When you think you’re challenging yourself enough, take a good look around and find others who are set on doing the same. Are they working harder than you? How will you ever know for sure unless you challenge them and put your best up against their best? Don’t be afraid to seek out new challenges in new situations where you don’t feel right. Get comfortable in the uncomfortable because this is when real growth will occur and real change can and will happen. Remember, this is all on you and no one else is in control here. If you want to see things differently, then you have to go out and make it happen.

Find yourself a new challenge and change every single day; do something out of the ordinary while still sticking to the plan and never be afraid of the challenges that lie ahead. When you become fearless in your approach is when these challenges turn in to the changes you have always wanted. So what are you waiting for?
